Simple Grillin'

Having an indoor grill is great, especially when we're cooking just for the two of us. There's no need to fire up the entire grill for just a steak or two. Plus we can grill all year long this way.

The hubz is the grill master in this house, so I don't have much to say in this post except that he makes great steaks! He's a strong believer in tasting the meat, so nothing more is added than salt and pepper. Our favorite cut is bone-in ribeye. It's flavorful, juicy, and tender.

Grilled zucchini makes a great accompaniment too. Cut them length-wise. I like to cut them into fourths so that they're thick enough to be meaty but still cook pretty quickly. Brush them with oil and just sprinkle with a bit of salt and pepper. What could be easier?

So envious of the beautiful grilled steak and zucchinis. I live in an apartment so I have to make do with a griddle pan.

You have a grill on your stovetop? That's awesome! I'm jealous!
I'm wondering, is it hard to clean?

A girl after my own heart! Bone-in ribeyes are our favorite too!

Nope, not hard to clean at all. Just scrub when hot like a regular grill. You can also take the plates off to soak them, etc.

I'd love to have a grill like this-somehow things look more appetising if they have those grill marks on them too :)

I miss zucchini now that summer is gone! Of course when summer was HERE there was too much zucchini to eat!

I need an indoor grill. Seriously.

Where did you buy your indoor grill please? I am trying to figure out from the picture if it's a detached equipment you place on top of the stove or if it came with the stove itself. I love BBQs and unfortunately, my husband is a complete putz in the kitchen. You'll never find him in the kitchen unless he's eating!

Lorraine - yes, grill marks do make everything taste just that much better!

Abby - I love zucchini in the summer too, and all year long =)

Lalaine - the grill is built into the our range. It takes the place of two burners. We used to have an electric grill that you plugged in that wasn't quite as good, but still got the job done. That might be easier to get your hands on than getting a whole new range.

I had a Japanese barbeque pan but stopped using it now bcos it created a lot of smoke in the house. Do u need to add charcoal inside your grill? I am so envy looking at ur indoor grill. Sounds so much fun and the zucchini looks yummy!;)

Nope, it's a gas grill, but it does create a lot of smoke.
